★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 89 reviews · 4 hours (approx.) · from $19

Visit Yanahuara, the Añashuayco sillar quarries, and Culebrillas canyon near Arequipa. A bilingual guide such as Mike, Alexandra, or Christina explains the stonework and petroglyphs, followed by a short, uneven walk. The $19 group tour includes both entrance fees and transport.

“This tour felt rushed to me...the stuff we should have taken more time in ...we didn't. We spent about 30min just at the Volcano viewpoints which was wayyy too long. There was an extra cost to take several of the pictures as the Sillar Route which I thought was stupid. Also it wasn't explained that there was wayyy more to see during the exhibit. Once we got back in the van and drove out, realized there was another section that wasn't even mentioned and there wouldn't have been enough time to see that section. Once we got to the Petroglyphs, that was def rushed! Basically the guide just walked thru…”

A professional guide, round-trip transport, morning or afternoon departures, and groups of up to 15 make this a practical half-day outing. Spanish and English may be combined.

“The view above is the best part unfortunately the rest of this area is a mine Our guide was helpful and informative there are a few sculptures at the second mine as it is only a few people carrying on due to dust born diseases, hopefully tourism may be able to preserve more of this mountainous area”

“A very nice and funny guide for a tour that could be better. The road of Sillar is just a big quarry with few statues for Instagram pics. There are no informative panels or anything else more "demonstrative". If your goal is not to take pictures with statues I'll suggest to only do a tour of the Canyon that has also hystorical glyph and is more interesting and beautiful to see. I also had issues with the communication with the tour operator - they don't answer to the number they give you at the booking time - and until 2 ours before I didn't know whether the tour would have…”
