1.City Tour in Cusco & visit Museum South American Camelid Private.

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 147 reviews · 6 hours (approx.) · from $49Our pick

See Cusco’s main square, Qorikancha, Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay with a private guide and driver. The camelid stop adds llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, guanacos, and Andean weaving. Guides such as Christian, Americo, Percy, and Juan Vargas have earned especially strong praise.

“Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We learned so much about the history of the Inkas. We were expecting a tour of the city of Cusco, so a little confused from the title. (Our fault for not reading the description closer) Sacsayhuamán was incredible!”

“Infelizmente não tivemos uma boa experiência com a guia neste passeio. Supostamente faria o tour em 2 idiomas, mas não tinha domínio da língua inglesa. Não possuía conhecimento sobre os locais visitados, passava apenas informações básicas. O veículo que realizou os traslados era confortável. Não indico por causa da guia.”

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 66 reviews · 4 hours (approx.) · from $75

Travel by air-conditioned minivan from your Lima hotel to the Larco Museum, a colonial mansion filled with ancient Peruvian ceramics and jewelry. A guide such as Victor, Gabriela, or Maria del Carmen adds context before a tavern stop for a snack and pisco sour, followed by Lima’s spectacular Magic Water Circuit.

“The guide was very knowledgable at the museum. The light show was very disappointing. I booked the tour for the interest in the light show. You could do the light show on your own for only 2 soles. If you are looking for an English guide, be aware that they are usually small groups or by yourself. I was by myself on this tour - could be why I didn't enjoy it.”

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 65 reviews · 3 hours 30 minutes (approx.) · from $52

Travel from Lima to Pachacamac with Haku Tours in a group of no more than 10. You’ll tour the modern site museum and vast adobe temples with a guide such as Leonardo, Aura, or Amadeo, then return by air-conditioned vehicle after about three and a half hours.

“The tour guides were very knowledgeable about this area and took us through to see all the highlights. We did not bring a bottle of water with us, as it said it was included in the program. I would recommend you bring one with you, as the excavation site is outside in an arid region, where temps got pretty hot. Fascinating to see how this site works with other areas we saw throughout Peru linked via the INKA TRIAL. Museum was surprisingly modern, with the best of what has been found to date from these sites.”
