Leave Huaraz before sunrise for Llanganuco Lakes and a guided hike from Cebollapampa to Lagoon 69. The three-hour uphill walk reaches 15,255 feet, with Chacraraju and Nevado Pisco reflected in the blue water. Spanish guiding is standard, with limited English possible.

Travel from Huaraz to Pastoruri Glacier with a Spanish-speaking guide, stopping at Parco, Pato Cocha, Puma Pampa, San Patricio Cave, and Puya Raimondi. The day includes a one-hour walk from Pumapashimin Lagoon, transport, and glacier views. Lunch and the S/30 entrance fee cost extra.

Leave Huaraz at 5:00 am for Llanganuco Valley and a three-hour hike to Lake 69. You will stop at Chinancocha, pass Andean villages, and spend about an hour beside views of Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Pisco, Huandoy, Yanapaccha, and Chacraraju.

Set out from Huaraz at 3:00 am for Mateo, your first 5,000-meter peak. A certified guide such as Pablo leads the private climb, with transport, mountain boots, crampons, harness, helmet, ice axe, ropes, and a climbing meal provided. Expect a one-hour moraine walk and a 90-minute summit push.

Travel from Huaraz to glacial Lake Parón with a Spanish-speaking guide, shared transport, and hotel pickup. After a breakfast stop in Carhuaz, continue through Yungay and Caraz, then walk about 40 minutes to a viewpoint at 4,170 meters for broad views of the lake and Cordillera Blanca peaks.
