Accommodation was terrible, very basic shared hostel with only cold water shower (not ideal after rafting), food was average but didn't go hungry. Ending the trip at Machu Picchu town was amazing. Had to get the tickets to visit Machu Picchu the day before, so timing of entry and slots available unknown until then.
